Follow these simple steps to help manage flu-like symptoms at home:

  1. Stay home
Isolate yourself immediately at the onset of flu-like symptoms. Avoid going out, even to just purchase necessities. If possible, use a separate bed and bathroom at home to avoid spreading the virus.
  2. Monitor your symptoms
Check your symptoms daily. Use ActiveLink’s Health Declaration Form for easy recording and monitoring. If your symptoms get worse, consult your healthcare provider or get in touch with you Barangay Health Emergency Response Team (BHERT) for proper handling.
  3. Seek professional medical advise
Only follow advise from professional and licensed medical practitioners. Set an appointment with your doctor should you start feeling worse. Provide them with accurate information to help them properly handle your situation.
  4. Get rest and stay hydrated
Avoid engaging in strenuous activities while on quarantine, however, simple exercises are recommended to keep your body strong. Drink lots of water and natural fruit juices to stay hydrated.
  5. Practice proper hygiene
Wash your hands as often as possible for at least 20 seconds. Avoid sharing personal articles such as towels, beddings, and eating utensils. Be mindful of the way you cough and sneeze – remember to do this at the curve of your elbow, and not on your hands.
